Abstract submission

The call for abstracts is now opened. As in past years, the number of oral and poster presentations are limited. For oral presentations, the organizing committee will make every attempt to have each research group represented before any given group is given a second slot. The same principle will be used for research groups with multiple abstract submissions for poster presentations. Only one abstract submission is permitted per presenting author! Abstracts declined for oral presentations will be automatically considered for poster presentations.

The deadline for submission of oral and poster presentations has passed. We will continue to accept abstracts for poster presentations as long as we have space available, but they will not be included in the printed version of the program.

Submission of abstracts

Abstracts must be submitted as a Word document using this Abstract Submission Template. Only abstracts using the abstract template will be accepted! The Word document should then be mailed to 47thIDW@gmail.com.

Guidelines for abstract submission

  • You might change the font-size to optimize the use of space if necessary, but do not change the following formatting:
    • Title: Arial, bold
    • Authors: Arial. Presenting author in bold and mark with an asterisk (*) the corresponding author (=supervisor)
    • Contact information, including email address of the presenting author: Arial, italics
    • Abstract text: Times New Roman, with a font-size not smaller than 9. Please feel free to include figures with the abstract text, but they have to be incorporated in the text (text-wrapping or in-line, but not floating).
  • Fill out the second table with your contact information etc. This table will not appear in the abstract book.
  • Save your abstract as a word file. No other formats will be considered. Please use the following naming conventions: Last name_Affiliation.docx
  • Send the Word document to 47thIDW@gmail.com
  • We will confirm receipt of every abstract. Please contact the organizing committee if you do not receive a confirmation one week after sending.
